At Terrace, we are best known for our renowned breakfast menu. With one of the largest breakfast menus around, choices range from healthy options such as Oatmeal with maple rum sauce, toasted pecans and fresh banana to specialties like Shrimp & Grits with Cajun-spiced shrimp, spicy chorizo pork sausage and sautéed onion and peppers in a creole barbecue sauce. From benedicts, breakfast sandwiches and omelets to waffles, pancakes and French toast you can find Sunday brunch items every day of the week at Terrace.
Lunch at Terrace provides the perfect escape from a busy workday or a great place to catch up with friends on a casual afternoon. Our lunch offerings are sure to please any taste with everything from fresh salads with house-made dressings and unforgettable sandwiches to full entrees. Try our Caesar Salad with flash-fried, NC oysters, grilled chicken, shrimp, steak or salmon or give our Grown-up Grilled Cheese with Havarti and cheddar cheese, Mac N Cheese, a fried green tomato and smoked bacon on grilled sourdough a try. Looking for something a little more substantial? Our Smothered Chicken with sautéed, button mushrooms, grape tomatoes and grilled onions in a creamy gorgonzola cream sauce is an excellent selection as well.
Dinner at Terrace embodies our philosophy of Southern Cuisine with a Twist. Begin your meal with a delightful appetizer such as our hand-crafted Crab Cakes, Pimento Cheese Plate with garlic crostini and bourbon bacon jam or Buttermilk Fried Oysters with jalapeno horseradish sauce. We offer a wide range of entrees including everything from chicken and seafood to steaks and short ribs. Indulge in our Terrace Ribeye garnished with fresh, herbed butter or enjoy a classic, Southern dish like our Chicken & Waffle with a Southern, fried chicken breast served over our sweet malted Belgian waffle.
Our cakes, cheesecakes and donuts pair deliciously with our specialty coffees, lattes, espressos and teas. For Cindy Penick, wife of Terrace owner Stewart Penick, baking has always been a labor of love. So when Terrace decided to introduce a homemade dessert menu, it was only natural for Cindy to infuse her love of baking into the restaurant that she and her husband built together. From testing recipes to finalizing the menu, Cindy influenced every aspect of the dessert menu. So — from our family to yours, enjoy every delicious bite from Our Family Favorites.
Terrace’s full bar offers many delicious specialty drinks, draft beers, martinis and wines from around the world. We offer a wide array of beers, including local craft beers featuring seven, local North Carolina beers available on tap from Old Mecklenburg Brewery.

Magnolia Coffee offers exceptional tasting coffees craft roasted in small batches to highlight each coffee’s unique and natural flavors. We chose to work with them because their direct trade and socially conscious coffees make a difference in the lives of the coffee harvesters at origin as well as in the quality of the coffee we serve at Terrace Restaurants!
